Pomegranate Puzzle: Antique World Map
Henricus Hondius II was a Dutch cartographer who made maps in 17th century Amsterdam. In typical Baroque style, he embellished his work with mythological scenes and portraits of famous explorers—even other cartographers! The Antique World Map puzzle features the entire globe, brilliant images of the four elements, and his father, Jodocus Hondius, Sr., in one of the portrait keyholes. The original map portrayed in this 1,000-piece puzzle is from the archives of the Huntington Library.
